Home Care
Home Care provides health and support services for people with health needs who wish to remain in their homes. It offers the care and support necessary for people to live as independently as they can.
Those who may be interested in receiving Home Care are:
  • people who have just left hospital and need short-term help before they are fully recovered
  • people with long-term limitations who can manage in their own home with help
  • people who have terminal illnesses and who wish to remain at home for as long as possible
  • people being cared for by families, requiring relief from time to time

Services Available

Nursing Service

Nursing Services provides specialized care that assists clients in meeting their medical and personal needs. Nurses may provide:
  • medication administration
  • dressing changes
  • ongoing emotional support
  • diabetic care
  • I. V. therapy
  • Instructions on care to individuals and their families.
Palliative Care

Palliative care provides personal and compassionate supportive care to the terminally ill assisting them to remain in the comfort of their homes during illness.

What does it cost?
Fees for Home Care services are established by AZMC reviewed annually. Fees and subsidies will be discussed during your assessment. 
Home Care services department:
The Home Care Treatment OF AZMC provides all Home Care nursing services for mobile clients. These services include wound dressing changes and assessments, suture and staple removal, catheter monitoring and changes, medication management including, injection therapy and IV therapy, both administration and maintenance.
The Centre gives clients of Kuwait the option of booking an appointment, rather than waiting at home for a Home Care Nurse. Clients, who are mobile, are referred by their physicians.
The Home Care Treatment Centre is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. and located at Salmiya

Your Rights and Responsibilities

 You have the right to:
  • be properly informed about your Home Care plan
  • know what is recorded in your assessment and to have the information kept confidential
  • decide if others, such as your family doctor, may be contacted to discuss your needs
  • decline Home Care services
You have the responsibility to:
  • cooperate and participate in identifying your Home Care needs
  • do your part in helping to maintain your own independence
  • notify the Program promptly if you no longer need service or if you wish to cancel service for any reason
  • Request more services within the frame of services we offer, seek for any medical advice.
